The story about fencing? My own mother said she never wanted to speak to me again, I lost friends, family, got divorced&#8230; You&#8217;d go through all of that just to win a medal in sports? Because one thing we know for sure is that, for all kids, the benefits\u2014physiological, social, and emotional\u2014of participating in school sports teams and athletics are wide-ranging. Bans on trans athletes have led to invasive\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/kansasreflector.com\/2023\/04\/09\/kansas-anti-trans-sports-law-opens-door-for-genital-inspections-of-kids-thats-the-simple-truth\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">screening<\/a>\u00a0that violate the privacy and safety of all women and girls, and discourages more who might want to play.
