Queer joy and unity are in the air tonight at the Beverly Hilton! The 36th Annual GLAAD Media Awards<\/a> are taking place in sunny Los Angeles and is sure to be a night to remember.<\/p>\n

Hosted by the hilarious Michael Urie<\/strong>, more awards are being announced onstage than ever before. Tune in here for live updates on who’s taking home the night’s biggest awards as they’re being announced!<\/p>\n

Outstanding Comedy Series<\/strong><\/p>\n

Doctor Odyssey’s <\/em>Joshua Jackson<\/strong> presented the cast of Hacks<\/i><\/b><\/em>\u00a0<\/b>with the <\/span>GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Comedy Series!<\/p>\n

Outstanding Drama Series<\/strong><\/p>\n

Of Abbott Elementary<\/em> fame, the hilarious Lisa Ann Walter<\/b> and <\/span>William Stanford Davis\u00a0<\/b>announced Fox’s\u00a0 9-1-1: Lone Star<\/i><\/b>\u00a0<\/strong>the winner of Outstanding Drama Series!<\/p>\n

Outstanding Podcast<\/strong><\/p>\n

Podcast royalty in their own right,\u00a0We Can Do Hard Things’\u00a0<\/em> hosts Glennon Doyle<\/strong> and Abby Wambach\u00a0<\/strong>took the stage to announce the next category. “Glennon and I have 3 kids. Two are queer and one is straight — but don\u2019t worry, we tell that one every day that we love her no matter what,” Wambach shared. Adding, “To all the young queer people afraid to be themselves in this American moment, Listen to me: we want to tell you what we tell our own children: they are not scared of you because you are bad: they are scared of you because you are FREE. They need grey and you are neon.”<\/p>\n

And the winner is… Baby, This is Keke Palmer!<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series<\/b><\/p>\n

Koch also announced the winner for Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series to be Netflix’s Baby Reindeer!<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Outstanding New Series<\/strong><\/p>\n

Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story’s\u00a0<\/em>Cooper Koch<\/strong> announced the winner for Outstanding New Series! He shared, “I feel incredibly lucky\u2014and deeply proud\u2014 to stand here tonight as an openly queer actor among this powerful, vibrant community. Let’s be honest: Being ourselves in spaces like Hollywood, professional sports, government, or business hasn\u2019t always been easy. Yet, every year, brave voices rise up, break barriers, and show us the boundless possibilities of living authentically.”<\/p>\n

Outstanding Video Game<\/strong><\/p>\n

The co-stars of the GLAAD Media Award-winning video game The Last of Us: Part 2<\/em>, Ashley Johnson<\/strong> and Shannon Woodward <\/strong>reunited for a special on stage moment. The two made history with their characters’ Ellie and Dina’s kiss in the game. They then announced the winner; Dragon Age: The Veilguard<\/strong> <\/em>(BioWare \/ Electronic Arts)!<\/span><\/p>\n

Outstanding Documentary<\/strong><\/p>\n

Wicked’s\u00a0<\/em>Marissa Bode<\/strong> and podcaster and author Jay Shetty\u00a0<\/strong>announced the big winner to be Netflix’s\u00a0Will & Harper!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Ghosts’ <\/em>Brandon<\/strong> Scott Jones<\/b> and The Z-Suite’s <\/em><\/span>Nico Santos\u00a0<\/b>took the stage. Santos made a powerful statement, saying, “Listen up, right wingers: we see what you\u2019re up to. But we\u2019re not going to let you put marriage equality on the chopping block. Any threat to our families is a threat to all families.”<\/p>\n

Outstanding Music Artist<\/strong><\/p>\n

Grammy winners Maren Morris<\/strong> and Lil Nas X\u00a0<\/strong>took the stage to announce the winner of the coveted category. “2024 was a dope year for music. Fans all over the world heard themselves in these incredible nominees for Outstanding Music Artist,” Lil Nas X said.<\/p>\n
