The group helped push Florida\u2019s \u201cDon\u2019t Say Gay\u201d bill into law. Scott praised Moms for Liberty and claimed its backed candidates would help keep control of the Senate in the 2022 midterm elections. Moms for Liberty-connected candidates were defeated in the 2022 midterms, and have been repeatedly rejected in school board and other elections including <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/floridapolitics.com\/archives\/690678-moms-for-liberty-candidates-dont-want-liberty-in-pinellas-county-schools-they-want-control\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">recent races<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in Florida.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Supported, then <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/miami\/news\/florida-school-board-may-seek-ouster-of-moms-for-liberty-co-founder-over-republican-sex-scandal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">withdrew<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> support, for Florida GOP chair Christian Ziegler, husband of Moms for Liberty co-founder Bridget Ziegler, when Christian was accused of sexual assault against a women the Zieglers were have a three-way sexual relationship with. target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">$21 million<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to defend \u201cDon\u2019t Say Gay\u201d and other discriminatory, unconstitutional attacks against LGBTQ and ally Floridians.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/floridapolitics.com\/archives\/688794-rick-scott-wants-yvette-benarroch-as-his-state-representative\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Endorsed<\/a>, in August 2024, the Naples Moms for Liberty chapter chair for a Florida House
