Bringing you a selection of new and notable LGBTQ media curated by GLAAD\u2019s Spanish-Language & Latine Media<\/a> & Representation team.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Younger latine people are more likely to identify as LGBTQ, and with over 62 million Latines in the US alone, <\/span>it is crucial to celebrate and amplify inclusive media<\/span><\/a> that represents the wide range of Latine experiences. Here are just a few examples of creative projects doing just that.<\/span><\/p>\n

If you love a show, film, song, or book, please remember to share about them on your socials, so that others can also know about great queer Latine media.<\/span><\/p>\n

Bi+ Latine Musicians Spotlight<\/h3>\n

Annually, from September 16-23, GLAAD, <\/span>the Bisexual Resource Center<\/span><\/a>, and <\/span>Still Bisexual <\/span><\/a>recognize the bisexual+ community for <\/span>Bisexual Awareness Week<\/span><\/a>, culminating in Celebrate Bisexuality+ Day on September 23.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Bisexual+ Awareness Week seeks to accelerate the acceptance of the bi+ (bisexual, pansexual, fluid, no label, queer, etc.) community. In honor of both #BiWeek and #LatineHeritageMonth, this new !Ojo! section highlights some of this bi+ writer\u2019s favorite bi+ musicians.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mabiland<\/b><\/p>\n

Colombian singer, songwriter, and rapper Mabiland carved out a space in the Latin American music industry with her unique blend of rap, R&B and neo-soul topped off by powerful lyrics informed by her experiences as a queer black woman in Latin America.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Her latest album <\/span>NI\u00d1XS ROTXS<\/span><\/i> is <\/span>described by Al\u00e1n Pelaez Lopez in the article \u201cMabiland Is Queering R&B en Espa\u00f1ol\u201d<\/span><\/a> as an \u201cintergenerational love letter from adult Mabiland to baby Mabiland, and a framework of how LGBTQIA+ Latin Americans can potentially address and reclaim their narratives.\u201d Standout songs in the album include \u201cWOW,\u201d \u201cAsh\u00e9,\u201d and \u201cNI\u00d1XS ROTXS.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
