Levine, who went on to be confirmed, is the first openly transgender federal official confirmed by the Senate.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014Quoted a noted <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rev.com\/blog\/transcripts\/rand-paul-questions-health-nominee-rachel-levine-on-gender-reassignment-for-minors-transcript\">anti-LGBTQ group<\/a> as experts in pediatric medicine.
