\u2014Speaks<\/a> out in support of Georgia ultra-nationalist Levan Vasadze, who has encouraged anti-LGBTIQ activism and announced his entry into politics in May 2021. During a live press conference to support the launch of Vasadze\u2019s \u2018Unity, Identity, Hope Movement,\u2019 Brown expressed his support for his \u201cdear friend\u201d and warned Georgia against LGBTIQ activism which he claims will \u201cundermine your freedom,\u201d \u201cundermine your church\u201d and \u201cwill undermine your country.\u201d The event took place in advance of Tbilisi\u2019s Pride March For Dignity, which was disrupted by violence on July 5. At least 20 journalists were hurt covering<\/a> the march. The march\u2019s organizers<\/a> were forced to change location at least four times out of concern for their safety, each time pursued by a violent mob.<\/p>\n

\u2014In email to supporters of NOM, Brown said<\/a>: \u201cFor the first time, there is a real possibility that horrific, anti-constitutional decisions of the past will be reversed. Marriage could be restored to our national laws.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2014Launched a new global anti-LGBTQ organization called the International Organization for the Family<\/a>. The IOF\u2019s first project was gathering anti-LGBTQ and anti-abortion crusaders to sign the \u201cCape Town Declaration,\u201d a manifesto that decries marriage equality. The organization is effectively a revival of the conservative World Congress of Families.<\/p>\n

\u2014Insisted<\/a> that LGBTQ rights are \u201cinvented concepts that not only are not rights, they also are not right.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2014Sponsored<\/a> an anti-transgender tour bus that traveled throughout North America and the world.<\/p>\n

\u2014Claimed credit<\/a> for Trump administration rolling back transgender rights in the military.<\/p>\n

\u2014Accused<\/a> President Obama of \u201cnormalizing pedophilia\u201d: \u201cUrged on by wealthy elites, western powers\u2014especially Barack Obama\u2014demand that nations change their laws and policies in profoundly unwise and dangerous ways to embrace the agenda of the secular left\u2014abortion on demand, an abandonment of marriage, acceptance of polygamy, normalizing pedophilia, transgenderism, stripping children of their inherent right to a mother and a father, etc.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2014Testified in favor of a Russian law banning same-sex adoptions, saying that \u201cevery child should have the right to have normal parents: a father and a mother<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2014Says homosexuality is \u201cnot logical\u201d and \u201cdegrading to the human soul<\/a>\u201c: \u201cWell guess what\u2014homosexuality IS a sin in the bible, and virtually every other sacred text out there. Engaging in homosexual sex IS considered by God to be sinful according to the teachings of most religions. And sin is NOT logical. Sin is deceitful, harmful and degrading to the human soul.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2014Recently attempted, via his national newsletter, to raise a link between marriage equality and pedophilia<\/a>: \u201cWill pedophiles become \u2018minor-attracted persons\u2019 in our culture? Will courts which endorse orientation as a protected class decide down the road that therefore laws which discriminate against \u2018minor-attracted persons\u2019 must be narrowly tailored to a compelling government interest?\u201d <\/p>\n

\u2014Marched against openly gay Bishop V. Gene Robinson, with the Hartford Courant quoting him as saying that the acceptance of homosexuality in the church marked the destruction of the American family and marriage<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u2014When Rhode Island passed marriage equality, equated same-sex-headed families with those that have been affected by divorce or even death<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u2014Has advocated for gay people to change their orientation. Said of a faith-based study on self-identified so-called \u201cex-gays\u201d<\/a>: \u201cEven those who disagree with us about gay marriage (or Christian sexual ethics) should feel good about this this [sic] scientific verification of the possibility of free will triumphing over desire. We are all more than our instincts, sexual or otherwise.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u2014Encouraged parents to attend a Love Won Out so-called \u201cex-gay\u201d conference, calling it a way to \u201cprevent your child from embracing this destructive way of life.<\/a>\u201c <\/p>\n

\u2014Claims a law designed to protect transgender students in California\u2019s public schools is \u201cdamaging,\u201d \u201cmadness,\u201d and \u201ca weapon\u201d<\/a>: \u201cAB1266, the co-ed bathroom law, is a horrible attempt by activists to strip society of all gender roles and uses children as a weapon in their culture war. The National Organization for Marriage fully supports the efforts of the Privacy for All Students coalition to repeal this dangerous law. Opening our most vulnerable areas at school including showers, bathrooms and changing rooms to members of the opposite sex is politically-correct madness that risks the privacy and security of our children and grandchildren…. They are forcing our school children to be exposed in showers and bathrooms to members of the opposite sex who claim a \u2018gender identity\u2019 with that sex. This new law doesn\u2019t prevent bullying\u2014it is bullying. It is not about protecting kids; it damages kids.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2014Said<\/a>: \u201cSame-sex unions are not marriages. Political regimes based on lies about human nature cannot last. Same-sex marriage takes a sacred institution, with deep roots in human nature, and tries to turn it into the plaything of politicians, a creature of the state, a bundle of rights to be tossed about between adults. Something so feebly rooted, so fragilely constructed and imposed cannot last.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2014Said<\/a>: \u201cEven if the state decides that it\u2019s going to attempt to redefine marriage\u2026two men can never be married, so the fact that there\u2019s a piece of paper from the state saying that, doesn\u2019t mean they actually are married.\u201d (4:24-4:40)<\/p>\n

\u2014Compared \u201cpersecution\u201d he faces today to that faced by Jesus Christ<\/a>: \u201cWhat did they do to Christ? We\u2019re going to suffer a little bit.\u201d (1:20-1:24)<\/p>\n

\u2014Said<\/a> of separation between civil marriage and religious ceremony: \u201cI don\u2019t accept this bifurcation between civil and religious marriage.\u201d (3:17-3:21)<\/p>\n
