\u2014At a meeting on \u201cthe Commission on Unalienable Rights,\u201d a rightwing attempt to reconsider U.S. human rights policy through the lens of dogmatic religious liberty, Morse read aloud a statement<\/a> and delivered to Secretary of State Mike Pompeo<\/a> a petition imploring Pompeo and President Donald Trump to \u201cMake the Family Great Again\u201d by asserting the fundamental rights of the so-called \u201ctraditional family\u201d that supersede those of individuals and \u201canti-family\u201d LGBTQ people.<\/p>\n

\u2014Wrote<\/a>: \u201cThe Ts are the current battering ram. A very useful battering ram they are, too. If you can make people say and believe that Bruce Jenner is a woman, you can make them say and believe anything. If you can make people afraid to say anything other than that the 1976 Olympic decathlon winner is a woman, you can make them believe that black is white, up is down, and freedom is slavery. Or, more to the point: that slavery is freedom.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2014Said<\/a>: \u201cWhat has come next is gender ideology, the idea that the human body is getting in the way of human freedom. The idea of being a male or female is oppressive. It is the last step in deconstructing the human body and human life. It\u2019s crazy and makes no sense.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2014Said that \u201cthe parallels\u201d between Nazi Germany and contemporary America \u201care really quite chilling\u201d and what happened in Nazi Germany \u201cis happening to us.\u201d<\/a> (0:18-0:35)<\/p>\n

\u2014Despite polls that prove otherwise, said Catholics don\u2019t really \u201caccept the category of gayness.<\/a>\u201c (0:38\u20130:45)<\/p>\n

\u2014Said being gay is a \u201ccompletely shameless activity.<\/a>\u201c (0:20\u20130:27)<\/p>\n

\u2014Claims \u201ceverybody who reads Genesis\u2014everybody, Protestant, Catholic, Jew, Mormon\u2014everybody who reads Genesis supported Prop 8<\/a>.\u201d (1:35\u20131:52)<\/p>\n

\u2014Said the gay rights movement is \u201canti-human\u201d<\/a> and that \u201cthe job that religion does in most people\u2019s lives, they are filling it up with Earth worship<\/a>.\u201d (1:47\u20132:14)<\/p>\n

\u2014Has referred to same-sex marriage advocates as \u201cenemies of the human body<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2014Said that prior to Prop 8, she was the \u201ctypical, clueless Anglo-Catholic Californian thinking that Mexicans were all busboys or gardeners or whatever<\/a>.\u201d (2nd clip, :57\u20131:08)<\/p>\n

\u2014Said marriage equality advocates are \u201cat war with Mother Nature<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2014Voices belief that homosexuality is \u201cintrinsically disordered behavior\u201d; advises gays to be celibate; compares homosexuality to \u201cshacking up.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n

\u2014Said of marriage equality: \u201cThere really isn\u2019t any future in sodomy<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2014Made a Thanksgiving video with little purpose beyond attacking gay resident advisors on college campus<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u2014Her organization said gays are \u201cdeeply wounded spiritually.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n

\u2014Said people who purchase sperm should be in jail<\/a>: \u201cYou know, buying sperm on Craigslist should be abolished. Buying sperm at all should be abolished. And furthermore, these people should be in jail, I\u2019m afraid. I mean, you know, honestly, I just can\u2019t even imagine where people think this is going to lead. You know, because the child is no longer a gift from God and a fruit of human love participating in God\u2019s love. The child is now a product, manufactured by adults, and therefore the child cannot be fully the equal of its parent.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2014Said it\u2019s a \u201cbreach of faith\u201d for orphanages to place kids with gay parents<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u2014Suggested there was more to the Tyler Clementi tragedy than the media was reporting, prompting fierce condemnation from Tyler\u2019s family<\/a>.<\/p>\n
