\u2014Former sponsor of the \u201cDay of Truth,\u201d which was geared toward pushing an \u201cex-gay\u201d message into public schools; said he wanted Christian students \u201cto be salt and light and to speak the truth.<\/a>\u201c<\/p>\n

\u2014Suggested President Abraham Lincoln, if alive today, would apply an illustration he is quoted as having made in opposition to slavery (\u201cCalling the tail a leg doesn\u2019t make it so\u201d) to modern day opposition of same-sex marriage<\/a>: \u201cToday, homosexual activists have tried to co-opt the allusion to slavery to advance their demand to redefine marriage to include same-sex couples. Nice try, but if [President] Lincoln were chiming in, he would undoubtedly bring up Euclid. A union of two men or two women is not the same as the union of one man and one woman, and all the rhetorical sleights of hand can\u2019t change that biological and social reality. It\u2019s one of those \u2018self-evident truths\u2019 Lincoln referenced. It\u2019s true because thousands of years of science and social history tell us so. Basic biology easily dispels the notion that such a contrived union can\u2019t even approximate the distinct nature and function of the only true definition of marriage\u2014the joining of one man, one woman.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2014Claims homosexuality is \u201cchosen\u201d and that inclusive military service is really a quest to \u201creorder nature\u201d<\/a>: \u201cWhen the activists succeeded in getting [\u2018don\u2019t ask, don\u2019t tell\u2019] repealed, they knew full well that it didn\u2019t end there. It was only the next step in the quest to redefine social norms and reorder nature. This is just another incident that exposes their rules of engagement\u2014to free up their speech while constraining the speech of everyone who disapproves or disagrees with their chosen sexual behavior.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2014Because of this organization\u2019s pushback against a reality TV star\u2019s shockingly homophobic and racially insensitive comments, accuses GLAAD of wanting an \u201cintolerant, repressive, unrecognizable anti-America.<\/a>\u201c<\/p>\n

\u2014Claims federal employment protections for LGBTQ people protect \u201ca choice of lifestyle\u201d and go against America<\/a>: ENDA would \u201cstrike at the very heart of our American liberties,\u201d said Doug Napier, senior legal counsel for the Alliance Defense Fund. It\u2019s especially threatening to businesses that are already \u201cregulated to death,\u201d Napier said. \u201cAnd now we\u2019re going to tell you who you can hire and who you can\u2019t fire, based on a category of protection that is not based on an immutable characteristic, but a choice of lifestyle.\u201d<\/p>\n
