Perkins said<\/a> (23:19). \u201cWe just need to pray that God would take the majority away from them\u2026 if they\u2019re going to ram all these things through, we just need to pray that God brings chaos, conflict and gridlock on our nation\u2019s capital so this cannot advance\u2026 his legislative agenda is from the pit of hell\u2026 (44:00) the whole transgender agenda, we mentioned a few moments ago, he\u2019s put that onto the military, he\u2019s put it onto elementary and secondary schools, he\u2019s put it on our colleges\u2026(43:47) We need God to move on our behalf.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2014Praised<\/a> the Department of Justice guidance for business owners who wish to discriminate against same-sex couples, and the Trump administration\u2019s rescinding of protections for transgender people and servicemembers. <\/p>\n

\u2014Reportedly<\/a> pushed to have scientifically discredited \u201cconversion therapy\u201d written into the 2016 Republican Party platform.<\/p>\n

\u2014Insisted<\/a> Target\u2019s trans-inclusive bathroom policies have turned their facilities into \u201ccrime scenes\u201d like a \u201clive rendition of CSI.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2014Claimed<\/a> LGBTQ activists are targeting children in order to \u201ccut off\u201d Christian parents: \u201cThey\u2019re going after your children with these agendas because they know if they can change the hearts and minds of these kids and confuse them as young as five years old\u2014folks, they\u2019ve cut you off at the pass…. They\u2019re trying to create greater confusion in the minds of these kids. It\u2019s going to make it difficult even to reach them with the gospel.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2014Said<\/a> LGBTQ soldiers made the military into a \u201cparade that looks like the bar scene in Star Wars<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2014Says about gay people: \u201cThey are intolerant. They are hateful. They are vile. They are spiteful\u201d … \u201cpawns\u201d of the \u201cenemy.<\/a>\u201c (See 1:30 mark.)<\/p>\n

\u2014Claimed<\/a> Washington, D.C.\u2019s ban on scientifically discredited \u201cex-gay\u201d therapy is \u201clocking kids into a lifestyle with devastating health, emotional, and societal consequences\u201d and \u201copening a frightening chapter in the liberal recruiting of LGBTs.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2014Claimed LGBTQ activists are going to \u201cstart rolling out the boxcars\u201d and carting away Christians<\/a> (a reference to the Holocaust).<\/p>\n

\u2014Claimed gay parents \u201cprovide distorted values to innocent adopted kids<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2014Lumped together Aurora shooting, kidnapping, and openly gay soldiers as three examples of a \u201cnation gone under.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n

\u2014Said many gays have an \u201cemptiness within them<\/a>\u201c (:55) because they are \u201coperating outside of nature<\/a>.\u201d (1:09)<\/p>\n

\u2014The Family Research Council distributed a pamphlet that begins by likening the logic behind same-sex marriage to the logic behind man-horse marriage<\/a> (complete with horse graphic).<\/p>\n

\u2014Said: \u201cIt doesn\u2019t matter what society does, I think within the homosexual, most of them know that this behavior, it\u2019s just not right, it\u2019s not what we were created to do and it\u2019s against God\u2019s plan and \u2026 it\u2019s contrary to our nature and the way we were created.<\/a>\u201c<\/p>\n

\u2014Called the It Gets Better project \u201cdisgusting,\u201d claiming it tells children \u201cthat it\u2019s okay to be immoral\u201d and constitutes a \u201cconcerted effort to persuade kids that homosexuality is okay and actually to recruit them into that lifestyle<\/a>\u201c; also called the project a \u201cdeceptive lie.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n

\u2014According to<\/a> Southern Poverty Law Center, paid $82,500 to use the phone bank of former Ku Klux Klan Grand Wizard David Duke for an election run-off.<\/p>\n

\u2014Warned about marriage equality and trans acceptance<\/a>: \u201cAs parents across Massachusetts fume about the new rules, the controversy certainly reinforces an important point: this is the future of same-sex \u2018marriage\u2019 in America. It may take teenage boys invading girls\u2019 locker rooms to prove it, but redefining marriage is about a lot more than two people who love each other. This is about the fundamental altering of society. Maybe some of you have fallen for the lie that same-sex \u2018marriage\u2019 won\u2019t affect you. I guarantee that you\u2019ll feel differently when you\u2019re trying to pull your second grader out of a lesson on homosexuality\u2014and end up in handcuffs instead. Or when your daughter comes home in tears because she\u2019s been suspended for telling someone she felt uncomfortable using the bathroom with a male teacher inside. By then, it will be too late.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2014Claimed \u201cblood of young marines\u201d is on the hands of legislators who voted to repeal \u201cdon\u2019t ask, don\u2019t tell\u201d.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u2014Claimed \u201c<\/a>people know intuitively that [homosexuality] is morally wrong<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2014Said \u201cit\u2019s a fact\u201d that homosexuality leads to \u201ceternal damnation<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2014Linked Secret Service prostitution scandal directly to open service<\/a>: \u201cOver the weekend we saw the news of the President\u2019s Secret Service detail in Colombia and the issue of them hiring prostitutes and now the White House is outraged about that. Actually in a meeting this morning my staff asked, \u2018why should the President be upset\u2019? It was actually legal; it was legal there to do that, so why should we be upset? Well, the fact is we intuitively know it\u2019s wrong, there\u2019s a moral law against that. The same is true for what the President has done to the military enforcing open homosexuality in our military. You can change the law but you can\u2019t change the moral law that\u2019s behind it. You can change the positive law, the law that is created by man, but you can\u2019t change the moral law, it\u2019s wrong. So what you have is you have a total breakdown and you can\u2019t pick and choose. Morality is not a smorgasbord; you can\u2019t pick what you want. I think you\u2019re absolutely right, this is a fundamental issue going forward because if we say \u2018let them do what we want,\u2019 what\u2019s next? You cannot maintain moral order if you are willing to allow a few things to slide.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2014Dedicated seven minutes of a recent radio show to framing scientifically-discredited \u201cex-gay\u201d therapy as \u201csuccessful,\u201d encouraging gays to \u201cescape the homosexual lifestyle.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n

\u2014Claimed<\/a>: \u201cEven if society embraced homosexuality, there would never be that sense of self-fulfillment because it\u2019s outside of how God created man and woman, and that\u2019s the bottom line. They can\u2019t erase that.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u2014Tells \u201cfunny\u201d story about his church converting \u201cbig women\u201d into \u201cex-gays.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n

\u2014Claimed Uganda bill (with death penalty attached) simply \u201cupholds moral conduct.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n

\u2014Equates gay people with drug addicts, adulterers<\/a>: \u201cWe need to be praying for those who are bound up in these lifestyles whether it is homosexuality, whether it is drugs, whatever it might be, anything that is outside the design of God for mankind, it could be adulterous relationships, it doesn\u2019t matter.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2014Compares the \u201cunfortunate experience\u201d and \u201clifestyle choice\u201d of homosexuality to that of drug abuse<\/a><\/p>\n

\u2014Claimed court-tested marriage equality will lead to a \u201crevolution\u201d in America<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u2014Backed a double standard pertaining to the religious freedom of the pro-gay United Church of Christ, saying \u201cI would use that term \u2018Christian\u2019 loosely.<\/a>\u201d<\/p>\n
