\u2014LGBTQ people are<\/a> \u201cdisordered\u201d and incapable of military service: \u201cHave we been so lulled into silliness and foolishness that we think that transgendered soldiers who are confused about their sexuality who want to undergo gender reassignment, homosexual soldiers who are constantly thinking about their sexuality\u2014and I say that with authority, having interviewed so many ex-gays and talked about this for years, there is an obsession\u2014their identity, they think, is their sexuality. How many of you who are heterosexual would first of all say to someone in describing yourself, \u2018I\u2019m heterosexual, I have sex with the opposite sex\u2019? You have much more of an identity than that, don\u2019t you? Well for homosexuals, they claim that as an identity, it\u2019s all about sex, so that is a disorder in itself. You can write me, I realize that\u2019s angering words but that is a disorder because that\u2019s not who you are, you are much more than that. It is a disorder, it is disordered thinking and if we think that soldiers that are obsessed with these issues are going to provide strong defense for our nation, I think we are foolishly denying whatever is true.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2014Insisted<\/a> transgender people will \u201cmainstream pedophilia.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2014Claimed<\/a>: \u201cThis whole business of the rainbow, and gay, and pride, is just a ruse for something that is so horrendous for the people involved. I have to communicate … my heart goes out to men and women who are caught in the throes of this, who are really losing their opportunity to shake loose of it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2014When Supreme Court overturned criminal bans on gay sex, Rios described it as a \u201csad moment in American history<\/a>;\u201d said it was \u201can immoral act\u201d on par with \u201cthe Dred Scott<\/em> decision declaring slaves two-thirds persons<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2014Warns that God is going to punish LGBTQ people (among others)<\/a>: \u201cI would not want to be in the shoes of any of the left right now. I would not want to be in Barack Obama\u2019s shoes. I would not want to be in the shoes of homosexual activists. I say that with humility and with fear for them because God will even the score, he will sort things out, he will be God and he will not be mocked. Whereas they think they are getting away with breaking all kinds of moral laws and mocking everyone in the process, they just don\u2019t know God, they don\u2019t know who they are up against and we do. And that should bring out some mercy in us because I wouldn\u2019t want to be\u2014what did that old evangelist say: \u2018it\u2019s a fearful thing to fall into the hands of an angry God.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2014Says (at 5:52) \u201c\u2018gay\u2019 is the wrong name\u201d because \u201cit\u2019s broken hearts and disease<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2014Once equated \u201cleaving the gay lifestyle\u201d with quitting smoking, stopping an affair, or quitting pornography<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u2014Protested a company\u2019s choice to use Ellen DeGeneres as a spokesperson, objecting to \u201cthe private choices she has publicly flaunted<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2014Claimed<\/a>: \u201cWhen homosexual men get together, they don\u2019t look for activities to enjoy common interests, they look for activities to find and expedite sex.\u201d Added: \u201cGay bars aren\u2019t for drinking \u2026 it\u2019s all about hooking up anywhere \u2026 everywhere \u2026 with as many people as possible.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2014Declared secular Jews to be \u201cthe worst enemies of the country<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2014Claims (at 2:40) that \u201cyou can stop being gay<\/a>\u201c then says (3:25) that celibacy is better than \u201cacting on the homosexuality or adultery or pedophilia<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2014Equated a federal marriage ban that still allowed for civil unions with a ban on slavery that still allowed for chatte<\/a>l: \u201cThe case I continue to make is what it would be like if we were sitting here, 150 years ago, and we said that we wanted an amendment to outlaw slavery, but if states want to have \u2018owned people,\u2019 they just have to call it chattel. Just don\u2019t call it marriage, or don\u2019t call it slavery. An amendment that protects marriage in name only is troublesome to us and does not go far enough.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2014While president of CWA, constantly promoted materials telling gays to \u201cleave the lifestyle.\u201d Here\u2019s one such promotion<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u2014Wrote of gay advocacy groups: \u201cOrganizations formed around gay advocacy are at odds with the moral principles that bring sanity and clarity to it all<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2014When NY gubernatorial candidate Carl Paladino said he didn\u2019t want kids \u201cbrainwashed into thinking that homosexuality is an equally valid and successful option,\u201d Rios called him \u201cthe hero of this race<\/a>,\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2014Admonished Republicans who support marriage equality, predicting that \u201cthe other side of this sordid story\u201d will prevail<\/a>: \u201cOne can only look to Massachusetts to see the devastating effects of gay marriage and the LGBT movement on public schools where children are encouraged to change genders without parental approval or knowledge, and public school girls\u2019 bathrooms are accessible to boys who think they are girls. If this madness is what [Laura] Bush, Colin Powell, or Dick Cheney want for their grandchildren in the misguided notion of \u2018fairness\u2019 then so be it. But when one day, the other side of this sordid story is told, they will be glad the wisdom of Phyllis Schlafly prevailed and not their fickle, feckless leadership in dangerous times.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2014Demanded that the American public \u201chas a right to know if candidates are gay<\/a>,\u201d equating that information with a Republican senator\u2019s adulterous affair.<\/p>\n

\u2014Boycotted McDonald\u2019s because of their support for LGBTQ consumers<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u2014Went after gay public figures for simply having and publicly acknowledging their same-sex spouses<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u2014Warns that America may not be ready for war because of gay soliders<\/a>: \u201cWhen I think about the folding in and the repeal of \u2018don\u2019t ask, don\u2019t tell\u2019 and the homosexual takeover of so much of our military I\u2019m not sure how effective those naval ships will be.\u201d<\/p>\n
