\u2014Former Director of Issues Analysis for the American Family Association (AFA)<\/a>, which the Southern Poverty Law Center listed as an anti-gay hate group<\/a> in 2010. He was fired from AFA<\/a> , which rejected the extreme positions Fischer took as detailed by the SLPC, including \u201chomosexuality gave us Adolph Hitler\u201d and \u201cwe need an underground railroad to protect children from same-sex households.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2014Has called fo<\/a>r banning the LGBTQ pride flag, which he equates with the Confederate flag.<\/p>\n

\u2014Linked<\/a> the LGBTQ-rights movements to Nazis for defending a commercial that contained a lesbian kiss.<\/p>\n

\u2014Says<\/a> expectation for business owners to serve the public equally is \u201cslavery\u201d and that the rainbow flag is \u201cas much a symbol of bigotry\u201d as the Confederate Flag: \u201cFor the government to force someone to do work that violates his conscience is nothing less than tyranny. And for a man to be compelled under threat of punishment to perform work against his will is slavery. The reality is that the LGBTQ lobby is the reincarnation of some of the worst elements of the mindless prejudice of the Old South in its irrational venom toward people (Christians) who are not like them. The rainbow flag is the new Confederate flag. It is as much a symbol of bigotry as that flag ever was in the minds of the left.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2014Refers to<\/a> SCOTUS marriage equality decision as \u201ca date that will live in moral infamy\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2014Wants to<\/a> re-criminalize sodomy: \u201cIf injection drug abuse is contrary to public policy, homosexual conduct should too [sic]. And for the same reasons.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2014On multiple occasions<\/a>, called for an \u201cUnderground Railroad to deliver innocent children from same-sex households.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2014Insists that \u201cthe homosexual agenda\u201d is \u201cthe greatest threat to liberty\u201d America has faced in its history.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u2014In AFA column<\/a> (since deleted, but chronicled in the Miami News Times), Fischer wrote, \u201cWe discriminate against sexually immoral and inappropriate behavior all the time, and homosexual behavior is sexually immoral and inappropriate. Went on to equate homosexuality with \u201cpeople who rip off convenience stores, burgle houses, drive while drunk, eat the faces off homeless people, gun down servicemen on military bases, embezzle funds from employers or clients, or beat their wives\u201d as well as \u201cadultery, incest, polygamy, pedophilia, rape, bestiality;\u201d said we should discriminate against all.<\/p>\n

\u2014Says gay people must be criminalized and treated like drug addicts<\/a>; even asks (at 2:29)<\/a>: \u201cDo you put them to death, do you lock \u2018em up…what do you do?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2014Links<\/a> \u201chomosexual conduct\u201d to sex with corpses.<\/p>\n

\u2014Praised<\/a> Uganda\u2019s law criminalizing homosexuality (with jail time), saying it proves his is a \u201cwinnable war.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2014Directly links<\/a> homosexuality to pedophilia and bestiality: \u201cWe should discriminate against unnatural and aberrant sexual behavior, whether pedophilia, bestiality, or homosexuality.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2014Said<\/a> that by overturning the Defense of Marriage Act and throwing marriage back to California, the Supreme Court is \u201cdoing to us what the Nazis did to the Jews.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2014Admits<\/a> he wants to discriminate against gay people.<\/p>\n

\u2014Insists<\/a> the First Amendment only applies to Christianity.<\/p>\n

\u2014Refers<\/a> to gay activists as \u201cleeches.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2014Says <\/a>(beginning at 8:00) that gay activists are \u201cjack-booted homofascist thugs who want to use the tyrannical and totalitarian power of the state to send men of faith to jail, and that frankly sounds a lot more like Nazi Germany than the United States of America.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2014Suggests <\/a>Boy Scouts (whom he calls the \u201cBoy Sodomizers of America<\/a>\u201c) would be better off drowned in the sea than to allow gay scouts.<\/p>\n

\u2014Says <\/a>about LGBTQ activists: \u201cWe cannot accommodate, we can\u2019t compromise, we can\u2019t find middle ground. They cannot be reasoned with, they cannot be compromised with, they cannot be dialogued with\u2014they can only be defeated!\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2014In the wake<\/a> of the Sandy Hook tragedy, suggested lack of God, prayer, and guns was to blame.<\/p>\n

\u2014Equates<\/a> openly gay NFL player Michael Sam with a \u201cbrain concussion.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2014Has dedicated<\/a> several show segments to denying that HIV causes AIDS.<\/p>\n

\u2014Claims<\/a>: \u201cThe homosexual agenda represents the single greatest modern threat to freedom of religion and conscience.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2014Says<\/a>: \u201cThe real haters are homosexuals. The real venom is coming from those that support the homosexual agenda, either homosexual activists, homosexuals, or those that support the homosexual agenda. They are the real haters. There is a heterophobic hatred, there is a Christophobic hatred that is just seething, there\u2019s a dark, venomous, demonic hatred that is in the homosexual community.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2014Asserts<\/a>: \u201cLadies and gentlemen, they [gay people] are Nazis (see video at :24). Do not be under any illusions about what homosexual activists will do with your freedoms and your religion if they have the opportunity. They\u2019ll do the same thing to you that the Nazis did to their opponents in Nazi Germany.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2014Fischer\u2019s<\/a> bullying prevention plan: \u201cIf We Want to See Fewer Students Commit Suicide, We Want Fewer Homosexual Students.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2014Again<\/a>: \u201cThere is no spirit of God in Islam. It is the spirit of Satan (see video at :19). It is the spirit of darkness. It is the spirit of tyranny. It is the spirit of bondage.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2014Fischer claimed,<\/a> \u201cHomosexuality gave us Adolf Hitler, and homosexuals in the military gave us the Brown Shirts, the Nazi war machine and six million dead Jews.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2014Says<\/a>: \u201chomosexuality represents an evolutionary degrade\u201d\u2026\u201devidence of a species devolving.\u201c<\/p>\n

\u2014In a now-scrubbed column<\/a>, claimed Native Americans were innately cursed because they \u201ccling to the darkness of indigenous superstition.\u201d (In a January 2013 interview with David Shuster, Fischer said he stood by this claim<\/a>; in 2014, Fischer made a similar claim on his radio show<\/a>).<\/p>\n

\u2014Declares<\/a> same-sex parenting to be \u201ca form of child abuse\u201c (using anti-gay researcher Robert Oscar Lopez as \u201cproof\u201d),<\/p>\n

\u2014Links<\/a> homosexuality to dalliances with sex workers.<\/p>\n
