\u2014Said transgender women are \u201cnot women.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n

\u2014Appeared to back away from previous transphobic comments, but then reasserted them, saying<\/a> it \u201cwasn\u2019t fair\u201d that \u201ca man who has lived for 40 years as a man and had children with a woman and enjoyed the services\u2014the unpaid services of a wife, which most women will never know… then decides that the whole time he\u2019s been a woman.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2014Denied that transphobia exists.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u2014Suggested that Olympic gold medalist and runner Caster Semenya may not be female and shoudn’t be able to self-identify when competing in sex-separated sports, saying<\/a>: \u201cBeing without a penis doesn\u2019t make you a woman any more than being without a womb makes you a man.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2014In her 1999 book, The Whole Woman<\/em>, wrote that<\/a> \u201cwhen a man decides to spend his life impersonating his mother (like Norman Bates in Psycho), it is as if he murders her and gets away with it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2014Reiterated her transphobia<\/a> after Caitlyn Jenner was announced as one of Glamour magazine\u2019s Women of the Year, telling the BBC, \u201cI think misogyny plays a really big part in all of this, that a man who goes to these lengths to become a woman will be a better woman than someone who is just born a woman.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u2014Responded to the comments made to BBC (above) with an expeletive-laden statement: \u201cJust because you lop off your dick and then wear a dress doesn’t make you a fucking woman. I\u2019ve asked my doctor to give me long ears and liver spots and I\u2019m going to wear a brown coat but that won\u2019t turn me into a fucking cocker spaniel.\u2026 I do understand that some people are born intersex and they deserve support in coming to terms with their gender, but it\u2019s not the same thing. A man who gets his dick chopped off is actually inflicting an extraordinary act of violence on himself.\u201d<\/p>\n
