According to Forbes<\/a>, \u201cTikTok is the fastest-growing social media platform in history.\u201d Of the app\u2019s current 1 billion users, 60% of them belong to Gen-Z<\/a>. In today\u2019s social media centric world, there is no shortage of influencers who got their start on the app. What\u2019s special about these 6 creators is their decision to use their platform to promote real, lasting change in the world. These LGBTQ creators are activists, models, musicians, and business owners but they are also the voice of their<\/em> generation. By simply having the courage to be themselves, they are helping others do the same<\/p>\n

Giiwedin Indizhinikaaz<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Activist Giiwedin Indizhinikaaz is using TikTok to speak on some of the most overlooked issues going on in North America. From fighting to reclaim land from colonizers to protesting the construction of Line 3<\/a>, this Indigenous creator from the Anishinaabe Tribe is also educating followers on the Ojibwe language and culture, life on a reservation in North America, and the Two Spirit identity.<\/p>\n

With over 400k followers, the 20-year-old college student is opening up Americans\u2019 eyes to the fact that we are living on Native Land and that \u201cbeing queer was not demonized in the Americas prior to colonization.\u201d<\/p>\n
